Introduction

Better Mangoes brings all the mangoes around the world to you. At Better Mangoes, we shorten the process of selection and purchase for you. We introduce the best seasonal mango varieties from all around the world. Endless possibilities for chefs, bakers, product developers and food manufacturer.

Personas

Based on the research on our target audience, we set up two personas. We referred to them throughout the entire website development process.

We decided the need of personas as to narrow down the user's type and age group. We involved users such as bakers and chefs. We incorporated infographics and change the color scheme to a brighter tone to best fit our users.

Customer Journey

I created a customer journey map to build a better understanding of how customers find and interact with the service and to discover opportunities for improvement. The map revealed many user problems and opportunities at the consideration and loyalty stages of the customer journey. Therefore, I paid special attention to these stages during the design process.

Landing Page

I focus on the design of landing page before moving onto other pages. The landing page itself serves as the center of attention and it's important to make it attractive and leave a good impact for the users. It will also help with the color scheme of the entire website's look and feel.

UI Design

Once I collected all the feedbacks and survey data, I started designing the final screens in Figma. The website is built using WordPress after the UI has been finalized. I incorporated a fresher and brighter visual style targeting the customer's age group and profession. The final designs allow users to navigate smoothly from page to page.

Prototype

What have you learned from this project?

The basic fundamental of a website is important. The structure and concepts to be put into consideration before jumping into the UI designs.

Prioritizing users' experience over fanciful design ideas that might not be the best. Knowing the requirements and work within it. It is ok to work backwards as long as the objective is met.
